The Audix OM2 is a handheld hypercardioid dynamic microphone designed for vocal and instrument capture in recording and live settings. It features a hypercardioid polar pattern that minimizes feedback and stage bleed. The dynamic element has a low-mass diaphragm, responding quickly to transients and handling up to 140 dB SPL. Its frequency response is 50 Hz to 16 kHz with a mild rise at 150 Hz and presence boost above 2 kHz. It includes a gold-plated XLR output, zinc alloy housing with a steel mesh grille, and ships with a clip and pouch. The microphone is designed and tested in the USA.
