The Axis Q7436 is a 6-channel video encoder blade designed for high-density rack installations. This modular unit fits into the AXIS Q7920 Chassis, supporting up to 84 cameras for large-scale IP surveillance systems.
It delivers full-frame rate performance with H.264 and M-JPEG compression at resolutions up to 720 x 576 pixels. The encoder supports advanced features including motion detection, privacy masking, de-interlacing, aspect ratio correction, and PTZ control via serial communication over coax.
Additional capabilities include intelligent event triggers such as video tampering alarms and support for the Camera Application Platform. The unit provides two alarm inputs and outputs, plus RS-485 ports for control signals, making it suitable for complex surveillance setups.
