The Bogen IDA8S is an 8-zone slave unit built to expand the IDA8 Public and Voice Evacuation System. It adds eight output zones and includes two backup amplifiers to ensure continuous operation. Each input channel offers processing features such as routing mixers, switches, volume controllers, priority paging, compressors, equalizers, limiters, and delay lines.
This unit can store up to 4 hours of digital messages in WAV format for live or pre-recorded playback. The ATEÏS Studio GUI software allows for easy uploading of audio files from a computer. Messages can be assigned to individual zones or broadcast across up to 48 zones when combined with controller slaves.
The IDA8S operates on mains power with 24 V battery backup and automatic switchover for emergencies. It supports advanced DSP matrix control, amplifier monitoring with hot-swap capability, loudspeaker line impedance monitoring, and two PSS-AS monitored microphone consoles. Equipped with two card slots, it can accept optional 4-channel analog input/output cards and AES/EBU cards.
