The CAD M179 is a large-diaphragm multipattern condenser microphone designed for vocals, voiceovers, and instrument recording. It features a range of polar patterns including cardioid, figure-8, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, subcardioid, and wide cardioid. The microphone includes low cut/high pass filter, pad, and polar pattern controls. Its frequency response spans 10 Hz to 20 kHz with a maximum sound pressure level of 143 dB when using the pad. It provides a 1x XLR 3-pin male analog output and requires phantom power. The microphone has a 1.1" / 27.9 mm diaphragm and is side-addressed.
