The Corning FREEDM One Tight-Buffered Cable is a 6-strand, 50 µm multimode (OM2) fiber optic cable designed for riser applications. It supports aerial, duct, direct-buried, and vertical riser installations without needing a transition splice when entering buildings.
This cable features TIA-598 color-coded 900 µm buffered fibers, allowing for easy identification and straightforward stripping for direct termination. Its small diameter and bend radius enable installation in confined spaces, while the waterblocking technology enhances its durability for outdoor use.
Constructed with an all-dielectric design, it requires no grounding or bonding. The flame-retardant, UV-resistant jacket is rugged and available in 12 colors, with black as the standard.
