Corning MIC Tight-Buffered 12 Strand Interlocking Armored Cable is a riser-rated multimode fiber optic cable (OM3). Each fiber is individually jacketed with TBII Buffered Fibers for consistent stripping and easy termination.
The cable features a dielectric central strength member surrounded by 12 fibers grouped into subunits. A spirally wrapped aluminum interlocking armor protects the core, providing up to seven times more crush resistance compared to unarmored cables.
Its flame-retardant outer jacket is built to withstand heavy traffic and harsh mechanical conditions. Available in multiple jacket colors including blue, orange, green, brown, slate, white, red, black, yellow, purple, rose, and aqua for simple visual identification based on fiber type.
