01
Parcel, LTL and freight are tools, not labels
The same customer may receive one order by parcel and the next by LTL because the physical shipment is different. The goal is to choose a method that is practical for both the equipment and the destination rather than forcing every order into one channel.
02
Consolidation versus split fulfillment
Combining items into fewer shipments can simplify receiving, but waiting for consolidation may not always be the fastest option. When products are available at different approved sources, Safsale can evaluate whether separate shipments make more sense.
03
Cost must be considered with handling risk
The lowest quoted transport price is not always the best logistics decision if the method increases damage risk, creates difficult receiving conditions or adds hidden accessorials. Shipment size, packaging and receiver capability should be considered together.
04
Final logistics are confirmed before release
The selected method, known access requirements and final shipping charge should be resolved before the order is released whenever possible. This creates a clearer handoff between procurement, fulfillment and receiving teams.
