This 8-3C with Ground Type MC Cable features a PVC jacket and interlocked armor, rated for 600 volts. The conductors are copper with XLP XHHW-2 insulation, suitable for continuous operation at 90°C. The cable is rated for wet or dry locations and can be installed indoors, outdoors, aerially, in conduits, ducts, trays, and for direct burial (voltage limits apply).
Constructed with soft bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3 and B-8 standards, it includes a black, sunlight-resistant jacket. The cable meets UL MC and CT USE certifications and complies with applicable ICEA standards. Its interlocked armor offers mechanical protection, making it an economical alternative to conduit wiring methods.
The cable accepts explosion-proof connectors (424CU series) and rain-tight connectors (416MC series). It supports NEC hazardous location classifications including Class I, II, Division 2 and Class III, Division 1.
