The Evolis Quantum 2 Secured Mag ISO, Smart Contact Card Printer is designed for printing on various card types including PVC cards, composite PVC cards, PET cards, ABS cards, and special varnished cards. It supports ISO CR-80 cards with a thickness of 30 to 40 mil (0.7 to 1 mm). The printer features a 300 dpi print head (11.8 dots/mm) and offers direct-to-card dye-sublimation/Resin thermal transfer printing methods. It has a printing speed of 150 Cards per hour for color (YMCKO), 1000 Cards per hour for monochrome, 115 Cards per hour for color (YMCKO-K), and 320 Cards per hour for monochrome. The hopper capacity includes input and output of 500 cards each, with a rejection capacity of 20 cards each for defective cards. It has 16 MB RAM and supports reversible upper and lower encoding units for magnetic stripes and contact smart cards, including HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder ISO 7811 or JIS2 and ISO 7816-2 for smart contact stations. The printer is equipped with a 2-line LCD display and status LED monitoring for printer and encoding unit. It also features USB and Ethernet interfaces and is certified as RoHS compliant.
