Explore Scientific Dobsonian Shroud (16")

The Explore Scientific Dobsonian Shroud is designed for their large 16" truss-tube telescopes. It covers the open portion of the assembly and blocks peripheral exterior and reflected interior light which can interfere with light transmission to the mirrors. This helps produce higher contrast views and sharper images during astrophotography. Constructed of a lightweight black Lycra/Spandex fabric, it has elastic ends to help hold the shroud tightly in place around the truss tubes. The package weight is 1.2 lb and the box dimensions are 9.4 x 8.2 x 2.7".
