The Power Distribution System – PDS-100 is a reliable and compact solution designed for emergency and public safety vehicle installers who need efficient power distribution, circuit protection, battery management, timing control, and the ability to manage onboard electronic equipment. This system is specifically tailored for use in fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, law enforcement vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicles where reliable electrical systems are essential. The PDS-100 allows installers to add protected accessory circuits without disrupting the vehicle's original wiring harness, ensuring a clean and professional installation.

Connected directly to the vehicle battery, the PDS-100 offers six individually fused circuits grouped into three two-circuit load groups. These circuits are ideal for powering radios, emergency lighting, sirens, video systems, mobile data terminals, radar equipment, and other electrical accessories commonly found in emergency and public safety vehicles. Each circuit is protected by an ATO/ATC-type fuse, which helps prevent overcurrent damage. Additionally, each circuit includes a dedicated power-on/fuse-failure LED indicator, making it easier for technicians to quickly identify issues suchity a blown fuse or a loss of power.

The PDS-100 is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing each two-circuit load group to be independently configured based on the equipment's priority and operational needs. Installers can choose whether circuits are powered only when the ignition is on, automatically disconnected after a set delay, continuously powered with low-voltage disconnect protection, or continuously powered without that protection. An integrated Master Low Voltage Disconnect feature helps prevent excessive battery discharge, ensuring the vehicle's electrical system remains stable under various conditions. The unit also features heavy-duty battery studs and screw terminals for secure and durable connections. In cases where additional circuit capacity is needed, multiple PDS-100 units can be connected using a parallel busing kit, providing a scalable solution for complex electrical systems.
