The Genelec 7040A Studio Subwoofer is an active subwoofer featuring a 6.5" dome driver and a 50W Class-D amplifier. It has a usable frequency range of 30 to 85 Hz and is designed to complement the 8010A and 8020A monitors. The subwoofer includes a power cord and offers a crossover frequency with high-pass at 85 Hz and low-pass at 35 Hz. It has a maximum sound pressure level of 100 dB and a total harmonic distortion of 0.8%. The unit features a 4-position phase switch and is protected by thermal limiting.
