The Korg microKORG S Synthesizer/Vocoder features 37 velocity-sensitive mini keys and an 8-channel vocoder. It supports 4-voice polyphony with 2-part multi functionality. The device includes an analog modeling synthesis system, 2 x oscillators + noise generator, and a variety of waveforms including sawtooth, square, triangle, sine, Vox, and DWGS. Multimode filters are available with -24 dB/oct LPF and -12 dB options. The vocoder has maximum polyphony of 4 voices, adjustable level and pan for each channel, and formant shift function.
It includes 256 programs (192 presets / 64 users) with up to eight favorite programs that can be registered. Modulation effects such as flanger, chorus, phaser, and ensemble are available along with delay options including stereo, cross, and L/R. The arpeggiator offers six types including UP, DOWN, ALT1/2, Random, Trigger, and Step Arpeggiator function. Five real-time control knobs and an arpeggiator on/off switch are included.
The keyboard is 37 keys (mini keyboard, velocity-sensitive). Audio inputs include a condenser jack with MIC/LINE switch, a connector +5 V mini-phone jack, and audio in 1 (line) input impedance of 39 kOhms. Audio in 1 (mic) input has an impedance of 22 kOhms. Outputs include L/Mono, R jacks with output impedance of 1.1 kOhms (mono: 550 Ohms), maximum output level of +0.0 dBu or more, and load impedance of 100 kOhms. Headphones jack output has an impedance of 10 Ohms and a maximum output level of 35 mW with a load impedance of 33 Ohms.
The speaker amplifier provides 1 x 3 W / 1.6" / 4.0 cm and 2 x 0.5 W / 1.4" / 3.5 cm.
