The Linear AP-5 Wireless Access Controller manages two gates or doors, supporting a variety of access control devices such as door strikes, mag-locks, barrier gates, and automatic operators. Its compact design fits diverse installation needs.
This controller features a built-in high-gain superheterodyne receiver with a range up to 500 feet. An optional EXA-2000 antenna extends coverage further. The system supports up to 480 Linear MegaCode transmitters and six Model MGT supervised safety edges programmed into memory. It can also handle 238 entry codes from multiple keypads.
Memory is retained even without power. It includes three dry contact relay outputs with timed latch or toggle control modes. The controller monitors hourly status reports, tamper signals, and low battery warnings. OPEN REQUEST terminals provide connection for external devices like pushbuttons or keyswitches. Powered by 12-24 Volts AC/DC, the unit includes an earth ground terminal for lightning and static protection. Installation and programming is straightforward, requiring no dipswitches.
