High-performance infrared audio transmitter with dual selectable carrier frequencies and wideband FM modulation for clear, reliable assistive listening coverage up to 30,000 sq. ft.
The Listen Technologies LS-96T-01 ListenIR TAA Advanced iDSP System is engineered for precise infrared audio transmission, supporting two independent channels with selectable carrier frequencies of 2.3, 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 MHz. It delivers excellent audio fidelity with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz on line input and 63 Hz to 15 kHz across the system when paired with LR-4200 receivers. This system features two microphone inputs with 3.5 mm tip/sleeve connectors, offering a nominal input sensitivity of -30 dBu and 5 VDC bias supply.
Audio quality is maintained with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 70 dB on line input and total harmonic distortion under 0.1%. Controls include a three-position power switch, dual four-position rotary carrier frequency selectors, and audio level potentiometers for precise mixing. Status indicators provide real-time feedback on power, audio levels, and IR transmission. The transmitter includes a power save mode that disables carriers after 15 minutes of silence to extend component life.
Infrared coverage reaches up to 30,000 square feet with compatible receivers. Power is supplied via an in-line switching mode supply with 100–240 VAC input and 12 VDC output. Compact and lightweight, the unit measures 1.5 x 10.7 x 4.1 inches and weighs 0.8 pounds.
