The Matrox Monarch EDGE Encoder MDG4/E10/I2 is designed for professional live broadcasts. It supports encoding up to 4K60 video in H.264 format. The device features a BNC input and three BNC outputs, along with a DisplayPort 1.1 female port and a USB-A 3.0 / 3.1/3.2 Gen 1 male port for recording. Audio inputs include a 1/8" / 3.5 mm TRS stereo female port, while outputs feature a 1/8" / 3.5 mm TRS female port. It also includes a DE-15/DB-15 analog female input.
The encoder supports video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 50/59.94/60 fps, with options for 1920 x 1080p and 1920 x 1080i. Audio format is unspecified digital signal input at 48 kHz / 24-Bit. It is compatible with NTSC and PAL broadcast systems. The device supports IP video encoding from 1280 x 720 to 3840 x 2160 at 60fps, and IP audio encoding up to 576 Kb/s. It has no wireless connectivity and is compatible with Windows 10 (64-Bit Only).
Additional features include two USB-A ports, two RJ45 LAN ports, a DE-15/DB-15 tally port, and a BNC genlock port. It also includes two SFP slots and a latency of 100 ms.
