Professional-grade quad audio balun supporting unbalanced line-level analog audio with transparent transmission and wide bandwidth.
The MuxLab 500033 Quad Audio Balun is designed to transmit four channels of unbalanced line-level analog audio over twisted pair cable with minimal signal loss. It features a bandwidth range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and maintains transparency to the user, ensuring audio integrity. The device supports impedance transformation with a 4:1 ratio, accommodating source impedances up to 100 Ω and receiver impedances of at least 10 kΩ. It offers low insertion loss of less than 2 dB per pair and high common mode rejection exceeding 60 dB at 1 kHz. The balun includes four RCA audio connectors and one RJ45 jack, enabling connection over shielded twisted pair cable up to 3250 feet (1 km). Constructed with a fire retardant plastic enclosure, it operates reliably within a temperature range of 32 to 131°F (0 to 55°C). Compact and lightweight, it measures 2.4 x 2.3 x 1 inch and weighs 3.6 ounces.
