The MXL 990/993 Recording Microphone Package includes the 990 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Mic and the 993 Condenser Instrument Mic. The 990 is a large diaphragm microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, while the 993 is a small diaphragm condenser microphone. Both mics feature low cut/HPF and pad controls. The 990 has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, while the 993 ranges from 30 Hz to 20 kHz. Maximum SPL for the 990 is 130 dB and for the 993 is 134 dB.
Both mics have an analog output of 1x XLR 3-Pin and require phantom power. The 990 and 993 are mono sound field mics with side and end address pair orientation, a -10 dB pad, and a low-cut filter at 100 Hz with 6 dB/Octave.
