Prosoft MVI56-BAS Basic Communication Module

MVI56-BAS module supports migration of legacy BASIC programs from 1771-DB and 1747-BAS modules to the ControlLogix platform. It provides interface capabilities for devices using ASCII protocols including bar code scanners, weigh scales, and printers. The module operates as a DF1 full-duplex device or DF1 half-duplex slave and supports BASIC-52 programming with up to 24064 bytes of RAM stored on a Compact Flash disk. This single-slot module fits a 1756 backplane and allows data transfer between the ControlLogix processor and the module using Ladder Logic. It supports local or remote rack installation and includes ports for DH-485 and ASCII communication. BASIC programs can be backed up or transferred via Compact Flash or PC.
