The Roland Boutique TR-08 Rhythm Composer is a compact recreation of the original TR-808, retaining its sound and character. This drum machine features 16 pads and includes one factory drum kit. It does not have a media/memory card slot and offers 1/8" (3.5 mm) headphone audio I/O. The device includes MIDI I/O with 1x DIN 5-Pin Input and 1x DIN 5-Pin Output, as well as a 1x Micro-USB (Host Connection, MIDI) USB I/O. It is a standalone drum machine with an LED display.
The TR-08 offers a variety of drum sounds including kick/bass drum, snare, low conga, low tom, mid conga, mid tom, hi conga, hi tom, clave, rim shot, maraca/shaker, clap, cow bell, cymbal, hi-hat (open) and hi-hat (closed). The tempo range is from 40 to 300 BPM.
