The Sequential Prophet-6 Synthesizer DSI-2600 features semi-weighted velocity sensitive keys with a 4 octave range. It includes two discrete VCOs per voice, allowing for wave shapes such as triangle, sawtooth, pulse, and square. The synthesizer also offers a sub-octave generator, low frequency mod, and a high pass filter per voice. The unit has a 2-pole, resonant, high-pass filter with bipolar filter envelope amount and velocity modulation of envelope amount.
It also includes a 4-pole, resonant, low-pass filter per voice that can be driven into self-oscillation with resonance control. The Prophet-6 Synthesizer DSI-2600 features four-stage ADSR envelope generators for both filter and amplifier envelopes with velocity modulation. It has five wave shapes for LFO including triangle, sawtooth, reverse sawtooth, square, and random (sample and hold). The unit also includes a poly mod system with sources from filter envelope and oscillator 2, and destinations to oscillator 1 frequency, shape, pulse width, low-pass filter cutoff, and high-pass filter cutoff.
Aftertouch is sourced from channel (mono) aftertouch with bipolar amount and directed to various functions including oscillator frequencies, LFO amount, amplifier envelope amount, and filter envelopes. The Prophet-6 Synthesizer DSI-2600 also includes a master clock with tap tempo BPM control and display, MIDI clock sync, and a polyphonic step sequencer with 64 steps and rests. It features stereo analog distortion, dual 24-bit 48 kHz digital effects including reverb, delay, chorus, and phase shifter, with true bypass maintaining fully analog signal.
