It meets UL 1638 for strobes and UL 464 for horns, providing reliable signaling in various environments. The unit supports System Sensor's synchronization protocol and is compatible with legacy SpectrAlert devices.
Users can select from multiple candela settings, including 15, 15/75, 30, 75, 95, 110, 115, 135, 150, 177, and 185. It automatically adjusts for 12 or 24 volts operation at the lower candela settings. The rotary switch allows selection of horn tone and three volume levels, with a horn rated at 88+ dBA at 16 volts.
The SCWHK operates within a temperature range of -40ºF to 151ºF. It features a universal mounting plate with an onboard shorting spring to test wiring continuity before installation. Its plug-in design minimizes intrusion into the back box, and it includes tamper-resistant construction. The device is suitable for both ceiling and wall mounting.
