The TASCAM MX-8A is an 8-input / 8-output matrix mixer featuring digital signal processing. It offers microphone/line input switching, 48V phantom power, mic input pad, and microphone gain control. The mixer supports audio formats of 44.1 kHz / 48 kHz at 16-bit / 24-bit resolution. It is connected via a 4-pin USB b-Type interface with USB 2.0 high-speed transfer rate of 480 Mbps. Analog inputs include Euroblock (balanced) 3.81 mm pitch connectors, with minimum input level of -70 dBu and maximum levels of +26 dBu for microphones and +24 dBu for line inputs.
The analog output also uses Euroblock (balanced) 3.81 mm pitch connectors, providing nominal output levels of +4dBu and maximum output levels varying based on reference level settings. The device includes RS-485 connectivity with RJ-45 connectors and Ethernet support with TCP/IP protocol and 100BASE-TX standard.
