The Teac W-1200S double cassette deck features two decks with dual and parallel recording capabilities. It supports multiple record/playback modes and is compatible with Dolby B NR tapes. The unit includes a return-t function. The system is 4-track, 2-channel stereo. The head configuration consists of REC/PLAY heads for TAPE1 and TAPE2, along with ERASE heads for each tape. Tape speed is set at 1.9" / 4.8 cm per second.
Pitch control allows for ±12% adjustment during TAPE1 playback. Rewind time is approximately 120 seconds using a C-60 tape. Wow and flutter are limited to 0.25% (WRMS). Frequency response ranges from 30 Hz to 13 kHz (±4 dB) for normal tape and 30 Hz to 15 kHz (±4 dB) for chrome tape. The S/N ratio is 59 dB at max recording level input, A-weighted. Input connectors include a 1/4" mic input (monaural only) and a stereo RCA.
Nominal input level is 0.28 V (RCA), with a mic input level of 0.38 mV. Input impedance is 33 kilohms (RCA).
