The Veracity HIGHWIRE 1-Port Ethernet over Coax PowerStar Base Unit is designed to deliver PoE over coax cable. This device supports both PoE and non-PoE IP cameras. It features a BNC 75 Ohms connector type and is compatible with 75 Ohms coaxial cables, including other impedance options. The transmission range extends up to 1100' (300 m) on RG59 or 1600' (500 m) on RG11 at full rate. With a bandwidth of up to 200 Mbps, it provides reliable connectivity.
The unit includes an RJ45 Ethernet connector and supports patch or crossover cables, automatically detected. It operates at 100Base-T full-duplex with auto-negotiation. Status indicators include HIGHWIRE coax link, Ethernet link/activity, PoE over coax, PoE to camera, and power available (5/10/15/20/25 W). The device functions within an operating temperature range of 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C) when delivering PoE under 15 W, and 14 to 104°F (-10 to 40°C) when delivering PoE Plus over 15 W.
The relative humidity is limited to 85% non-condensing.
