The Veracity VLS-1N-L LONGSPAN Lite Ethernet Extender supports IP networking over distances up to 800 meters (2600 feet) using standard Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable. It delivers full 100Base-T Ethernet speeds of 10/100 Mbps to maintain high-quality video streams even at extended cable lengths.
This modular, stand-alone unit operates unmanaged and is designed for hardened environments. It supports full PoE with up to 25.5 watts at distances up to 600 meters (2000 feet), exceeding the standard 15-watt limit at 820 feet. The extender automatically adapts link speed to maintain connection over longer runs, dropping from 100Base-T to 10Base-T when necessary, with a maximum reach of 1000 meters (3280 feet).
Veracity LONGSPAN technology also enables the use of 1-pair and 2-pair UTP cable, allowing upgrades of legacy analog installations without rewiring. The self-configuring design requires no user setup or DIP switches. PoE models include a SmartView LED display for quick status and diagnostic information at both ends of the cable.
